It was a fantastic weekend for the club, highlighted by a brilliant performance from our women’s team, who secured an impressive win over Lordswood to move to the top of the league table. It’s a huge achievement and a testament to the hard work and commitment the squad has shown all season.
We’d also like to extend a big thank you to everyone who joined us in the clubhouse for the St Patrick’s Day pre-match lunch and stayed on for the post-game celebrations. It was great to see such a strong turnout and a fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.
1XV MEN | SRFC 21-44 Dorking
It wasn’t our best performance last Saturday against Dorking. While we managed to score some great tries and showed moments of real quality, it just wasn’t quite enough to come away with the win. All eyes now turn to our away fixture against Old Albanian this Saturday.

1XV WOMEN | SRFC 17-12 Lordswood
Sunday started bright and sunny but by KO the weather had turned into a gusty mess. Our usual running play was subdued due to the weather but the squad adjusted well to open the scoring and get ourselves ahead within 10 minutes and we never lost the lead. 17-12 was the final score with two converted tries and a penalty. The win pushes the team to the top of the league with two games remaining. Beccahamians await the mighty oaks women on Sunday with a 3pm KO.
