Saturday 20th December:

We have played our last games in 2025!

Although a disappointing result from the Men’s 1XV game vs. Canterbury, the Men’s 2XV and 3XV secured wins in their fixtures against Cranbrook and Rye respectively. Please read below to find out more!

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2026. UTO!

1XV MEN | SRFC 19-39 Canterbury

It was a frustrating game for all involved on Saturday as the Men’s 1XV played Canterbury at The Paddock. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get it to click and allowed the opposition to get through and score 5 tries.

On a more positive note, Alex Rolfe played his 100th game for the club! Congratulations Alex, thank you for all you have done for the club and we look forward to many more appearances for The Mighty Oaks.

2XV MEN | SRFC 45-19 Cranbrook

Playing the ‘Game On’ rules, the Men’s 2XV travelled to Cranbrook. They walked away with 5 points as they adapted to a slightly different format for the game. It was a great performance from the team.

  • Player of the Match: Sam Begbie

3XV MEN | SRFC 33-26 Rye

The 3rd XV rounded off 2025 with a hard fought win over Rye. In a game where the lead changed hands three times, our 3’s managed to edge out the opposition 33-26 after a late George Rehbein intercept. The win puts them 2nd in the league as we enter the Christmas break.
