Job Description: Senior Men's – 1st XV Team Manager
Overall Purpose
Sevenoaks Rugby Club is seeking an enthusiastic and passionate 1st XV Team Manager for the 2026-27 rugby season. This role is a vital part of the Senior Squad management team, providing best-in-class support to the Director of Rugby & Head Coach, the wider coaching, medical, and performance teams and the playing squad. The primary goal is to ensure a professional match-day environment for the players at the 1st XV level.
Context
The Senior Men’s programme operates as one unified squad of 80+ players, with over 50+ regularly attending training each week. For the 2026-27 season, the senior sides will compete in:
1st XV: Regional 1 South
2nd XV: Counties 1
3rd XV: Counties 3
You will be joining a comprehensive performance team dedicated to delivering season objectives across the senior sides.
Reporting & Accountability
The 1st XV Team Manager will report directly to Adam Bowman, Director of Rugby.
Responsibilities – Operations & Match Day
Match-Day Leadership & Logistics
Attendance: Provide consistent on-site management for all home and away 1st XV matches on Saturdays between August and April.
Travel Coordination: Liaise with coach/transport providers to organise and confirm travel arrangements for all away fixtures, ensuring timely departures and arrivals.
Match-Day Operations: Oversee the full match-day schedule, ensuring all warm-up timings, official protocols, and schedules are executed with precision.
GMS Administration: Lead the digital match-day administration, ensuring all Game Management System (GMS) requirements are completed accurately both pre- and post-fixture for the 1st XV, 2nd XV, and 3rd XV.
Environment Standards: Coordinate the preparation of professional changing room environments prior to squad arrival and manage the "shed duty" process post-match.
Kit & Equipment Management
Playing Kit Oversight: Lead the organisation and preparation of match-day playing kit for the 1st XV, 2nd XV, and 3rd XV, ensuring all gear is professional and ready for the squads.
Stash Management: Prepare and manage the distribution of player "stash packs" during the pre-season phase.
Equipment Performance: Ensure all on-field equipment, including pads, match balls, kicking tees, and hydration supplies - is prepared and available, and then returned.
Analysis Support: Set up and manage the video tower and camera equipment to facilitate performance analysis for the coaching team.
Communication & Culture
Liaison & Reporting: Prepare match-day communications and documentation for the coaching, medical, and performance teams.
Values & Ethics: Serve as a role model for the "One Club" ethos, consistently upholding the standards and behaviours expected within the Sevenoaks RFC environment.

Remuneration
A competitive retainer is available for this position and will be discussed during the interview process.
For the right candidate, this role can form part of a full-time Operations position.
