Saturday 8th November:

All four of our senior teams secured wins against their opposition on Saturday. With The Paddock back to being a FORTRESS we are looking forward to continuing this momentum into next weekend’s games…

1XV MEN | SRFC 27-26 Henley

We like to make winning look hard... Saturday was no exception! Despite maintaining two-thirds of the possession throughout this cracking National 2 East encounter against Henley Hawks, it was the late, late show as Oaks left it until the last kick of the match to secure victory through a penalty in front of the posts from the trusty boot of Ben Adams.

1XV WOMEN | SRFC 41-15 Beckenham

A superb 41-15 win at home against a good Beckenham side on Sunday. The engine room of the scrum got player of the match this week with a cheeky try and some fantastic ball carries. To top it off was a 6m scrum push over try… congratulations Rachel Basdeo.

2XV MEN | SRFC 49-22 Park House

A fantastic scoreline for our 2XV vs. Park House this weekend. We looked dangerous with the ball when in the opposition’s half. We held parity at scrum time against a big Park House pack, our backs worked very well at set piece both sides of the ball.

3XV MEN | Old Colfeians 22-52 SRFC

Oaks 3s took on Old Colfeians this weekend, aiming to maintain their winning momentum with another strong performance away from home. From the opening kick-off, their intentions were clear, dominance up front and relentless pressure throughout the match.

Oaks controlled the game through powerful forward set pieces and solid defence, shutting down Old Colfeians’ hard-running attacks through the middle. Their structure and composure paid off, as they pulled away to claim a convincing 52–22 victory.

The result sees Oaks 3s move up to second place in the table, keeping their promotion hopes firmly alive.
