Yesterday, we were delighted to host our second Centenary Golf Day at Sweetwoods Golf Club, bringing together members, sponsors and friends of Sevenoaks Rugby Club for a fantastic day of golf, food, friendly competition and plenty of laughs.
The day began with players fuelling up on bacon baps, tea and coffee before heading out onto the course for 18 holes of golf in rather hot conditions. With plenty of competition on the fairways, the day included a number of challenges, prizes and moments of questionable golfing brilliance.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended, supported and helped make the day such a success. Events like this continue to show the strength of the Sevenoaks RFC community and the brilliant people who support the club both on and off the pitch.
Following a great day on the course, we were delighted to announce the winners:
Overall Winners:
1st Place - St Michael’s Swinging Dads
2nd Place - Foreplay
3rd Place - Durham Old Boys
Competition Winners:
Longest Drive - Will Rosier
Nearest the Pin - Roger McKerlie
Heads & Tails - Dave Sellors
1st Hole Tee for 2027 - Nick Thompson
Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you again to everyone who took part.
A special thank you also goes to Sweetwoods Golf Club for hosting us so well, and to Donna, Karen, Jack and George for keeping the group suitably hydrated and ensuring the day ran smoothly. Jack and George joined us on work experience from Tonbridge School and were a great help throughout the day.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the annual Sevenoaks RFC Golf Day in June 2027!
