The New Beacon Prep School in Sevenoaks is delighted to announce that, from September 2025, its co-educational Nursery will welcome girls and boys from their second birthday.
Housed in a purpose-built, architecturally designed building with its own secure playground and gardens, The New Beacon Nursery offers a safe, inspiring, and engaging environment for early learners. Nestled within the school’s beautiful 22-acre site, the Nursery features bright, spacious rooms equipped with innovative resources tailored to each child’s needs and interests.
Children enjoy a dedicated art area, age-appropriate library, and both indoor and outdoor play areas — including a Nursery-only playground, sandpit, garden, and sheltered outdoor spaces. As part of the wider school community, they also benefit from access to The New Beacon’s exceptional facilities, including the Sports Centre, Astro Turf Pitch, Swimming Pool, Art and Music School, Chapel, and Theatre.
Outdoor learning is at the heart of the Nursery’s ethos and the children benefit from the Forest School provision alongside activities such as nature walks, pond dipping and gardening. Time in the woodland and use of the outdoor classroom fosters curiosity and creativity in our young children; building a love of being outdoors from an early age. Early numeracy, phonics, and literacy skills are introduced through engaging, play-based learning, building confidence and a lifelong love of learning from the very start.
Headteacher, Mrs Sarah Brownsdon, commented:
Being able to cater for both girls and boys in our Nursery during those formative years between ages 2 and 4 will offer families a wonderful opportunity to give their children the very best start to their learning journey. With access to our exceptional facilities and a dedicated team of specialist Early Years teachers, our youngest pupils will thrive in an environment that prioritises their wellbeing and happiness, nurturing each child as an individual and guiding them on an exciting path of discovery
Boys can continue their education into The New Beacon’s Prep School, which caters for boys up to age 13, ensuring a seamless transition and tailored learning experience.
The New Beacon Nursery provides excellent value for families, with a wide range of activities included in the fees, and the ability to accept childcare vouchers and government funding.
Families are invited to discover more at the Stay & Play Open Morning on Saturday, 27 September, from 9.30am to 10.30am.
