sponsored ride to Holland.jpg

This April, Robert Bowyer, Simon Murphy & Simon Williams are cycling to Holland to raise money for a joint cause, a new electronic scoreboard for the Club and The Wooden Spoon rugby charity for children.

Whilst on a ride to Paris in 2018, the three parents of boys in the current U15’s agreed they wanted to leave a legacy to the club, in recognition of their time in the junior set up. From watching the fledgling U7’s develop through the junior ranks, collecting a Kent Cup win and numerous festival and tour wins along the way. They wanted to thank the Club for their boy’s development as they move to the academy set up next season.

They are leaving the club on Wednesday 10th April, cycling 410 kms over 3 days to meet the U15 boys as they arrive for their end of season tour to Holland. With your support and generosity, the three of them are hoping to raise enough money to purchase the scoreboard and support the spoon.

They are supported on this ride by another generous U15 parent, Bob Weekes, who is kindly donating his time to drive the support vehicle and make sure the guys get there on time!!

YOU CAN SUPPORT THIS INITIATIVE AT THE SEVENOAKS RFC 1st XV MATCH TOMORROW - THERE WILL BE YELLOW BUCKETS AT THE PADDOCK FOR SUPPORTERS TO DONATE.
