Sevenoaks RFC Senior Squad pre-season fixture schedule has been confirmed, with Adam Bowman’s squad taking on Wanstead, Old Colfeians and Beckenham, as well as having a training session with Sidcup RFC, before the season gets underway at the Paddock when the 1st XV take on Thurrock on the opening fixture of their 2018/19 London 1 South campaign.
With pre-season training entering its fourth week, the pre-season fixtures will allow Head Coach Bowman and his coaching staff the opportunity to fine tune their preparations and test various combinations before the league season begins.
Wanstead RFC, who will ply their trade in London North East 2 this forthcoming season, finished fourth last term and will provide a level of the unknown for Oaks on 11th August. The following week, on Saturday 18th August, the team play much more familiar opposition in Old Colfieans, who Oaks faced twice last season in London South 1. Whilst the men from Horn Park were unfortunately relegated by the smallest of margins, they provided one of the toughest of tests for Oaks both home and away last season. This, coupled with the excellent surface at Horn Park, should provide an entertaining pre-season spectacle for Oaks and Colfes supporters.
Preparations continue the following week, as a selected group train with Southern Premier side Sidcup RFC, before a XV then travel to Beckenham RFC for a Friday Night Lights fixture.
