In near perfect conditions at Ashford RFC, Sevenoaks U16s and Canterbury U16s played in the Final of the Kent Cup.
Canterbury applied the pressure early on and on the 10 minute mark went over for a try in the corner. Oaks managed to out their game plan into play and from a beautifully executed catch and drive from a lineout 5 metres out the forwards drove over for Oaks first score. A great conversion added the extras.
Minutes later from a very similar position Oaks scored again and again the extra 2 point gracefully taken.
Half Time 14-5 to Oaks
Early pressure in the second half led to Oaks going over again with the conversion once again splitting the posts Oaks took a comfortable 21-5 lead. A late try for Canterbury brought the final score to 21-10.
