Sunday saw the finals of the Under 12s Kent Cup held at Gravesend RFC.

Sevenoaks A team were in a tough group but made light work of all three opponents as they ruthlessly beat Cranbrook 9-0, Canterbury 3-0 and Old Alleynians 6-0 to qualify unbeaten for the final.

Medway were unbeaten in their group and proved a much tougher test in what was a very tense final. Medway took the lead almost from the start but Oaks came roaring back to level the score through Dixon. Another period of Oaks pressure saw Lay go over just before half time to make it 2-1
Some amazing Oaks defence and colossal team spirit kept the scores unchanged in the second half which meant Sevenoaks were deserved winners and crowned as Kent champions.

Sevenoaks Under 12s B team also put up a great show against tough opposition. In their group phase they came up just short as they lost  2-3 to Old Elthamians A, 0-2 to Ashford but they regrouped and found their stride to win 2-1 against Sidcup A.

This meant they qualified for the Shield 3rd place play off which they won in style beating Old Elthamians B  6-1. A great performance also bearing in mind the calibre of opposition they faced.
