The Sevenoaks/Tunbridge Wells U15 cluster known as the A21’s yesterday secured a hard-fought victory over rivals Eton Manor to become the RFU South East Area 3 Champions.

Both teams came into the game unbeaten which set up what was a thrilling game of rugby that really showcased the girls game.  The game itself ebbed and flowed with some good solid forward play supported by quick ball through hand running rugby and individual pieces of skill supported by solid team play.

The final score of 36-17 reflecting what a fast-paced and exciting game it was for all those privileged enough to watch it.  The game was played in the true spirit of the game with fantastic displays of sportsmanship from both sides, the referee, who it has to be said had a great game commented on how much he had enjoyed the encounter.

Following on from this success the A21’s now progress to the National semi-finals which will be held on the 15th April at Royal Wootton Bassett RFC.

A special note of thanks to Old Elthamians who kindly hosted the day, providing first class facilities and excellent hospitality.

Congratulations Anna, Aoife, Catherine, Kate, Lillie, Millie, Olivia, Scarlett, Tori, Zoe!
