From the Director of Rugby, Roger McKerlie: "On December 28 2015 we took a squad of 23 Under 21 players from five different age groups down to Ashford to participate in the inaugural Kent Prodigals Tournament.

"Although it was only a three team event the 'Sevenoaks Wanderers' returned with the winners' Trophy having beaten Ashford 17-7 and Dartfordians 10-0. This means we have been crowned the first winners of what we all hope will become a bigger and regular fixture in the Kent rugby calendar."

"The idea behind the Prodigals Tournament is to reunite the university players at Kent clubs and get them playing for their respective clubs during the holiday period, staying connected and therefore maintaining their engagement with Kent rugby.

"Sevenoaks had at least 12 players turn out who played age group rugby but are yet to make their mark in senior rugby for the Club. All enjoyed the run out, itself a great success and we hope it leads to more appearances at senior level for these talented lads."

Proud return: Ashford, Darfordians and Sevenoaks following a great run out
