Role: Outside Matchday Caterer

Overall Purpose:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced caterer to join our team for the 2025/26 season who will be responsible for cooking and serving delicious BBQ food to spectators at every Senior Men’s 1XV National League home game.

The successful applicant will be able to join us from the first home game of the season, which is on Saturday 20th September.

This role will report directly to Donna Swallow, Clubhouse Manager, to deliver a cohesive and effective match day service.

 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set up, clear away and manage the BBQ station before, during and after each home game

  • Cook a variety of BBQ food (e.g., burgers & sausages) and serve to supporters

  • Ensure food is prepared and cooked to a high standard

  • Comply with all the relevant food hygiene and safety regulations

  • Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanour when interacting with supporters

Key requirements for this role include:

  • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a Food Hygiene Level 2 Certificate (online course available)

  • Proven experience in cooking for large groups of people, particularly on a BBQ

  • Able to commit to all 13 of the 1XV Senior Men’s home games during the 2025/26 season

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
