In the latest round of the south east U13s girls competition Sevenoaks were hosts to Dartfordians, Aylesford and Ashford.

Game 1 Sevenoaks v Ashford

Sevenoaks were at full strength for this tournament. The first game saw them facing an unknown quantity in Ashford. A tough game saw Sevenoaks take an early 3 try lead with superb individual efforts from Davies and Rabbitt. The second half opened with 2 well worked tries from the Ashford backs putting pressure on the Oaks. Strong defence (with special mentions for Sellors, Davies and Roff) eased the pressure with a further 2 tries from Davies securing a hard fought 5-2 victory. Scorers Davies 4, Rabbitt 1.

Game 2 Sevenoaks v Aylesford

Aylesford brought an established girls team to the competition. Oaks had met them before and the game was tight. Oaks kept the ball using the pace of the back line to do the work. Under constant pressure from a very strong Aylesford defence the deadlock was eventually broken by Oaks securing ruck ball and Jones running almost the length of the pitch to score. Another superb individual effort from Jones was followed by tries from Roff and ODonnell. Oaks were victorious 4 tries to 1. Tries Jones 2, ODonnell 1, and Roff 1.

Game 3 Sevenoaks v Dartfordians

Sevenoaks had faced Dartfordians 3 weeks earlier who, and although a relatively new squad had put up a tough fight. Sevenoaks moved the ball away from the contact areas to take advantage of gaps in the Defence. Rabbitt ran in 2 early tries followed by 3 from Davies and 1 from Roff. Just before the final whistle Owenin support of Rabbitt ran in her first tournament try to make the final score 8-1. TriesRabbitt 3, Davies 3, Roff 1, Owen 1.

The result see Oaks progress into the cup final stage of the competition on the 13th March.
