As our Junior and Mini and teams return to the Paddock this Sunday for training, please see the below message and guidelines from our Head of Junior Rugby, Steve Fitzmaurice.
Please use hand and equipment sanitisers; continue social distancing in line with RFU Guidance, and continue with the tracking and registration of players with parental approval that they can train. Now we have multiple age groups on site, please register and social distance players on arrival by setting up the equivalent of a 'registration desk' at your allocated pitch.
Pitch rotation and schedule - this has been distributed to each Head Coach. We have the rugby pitch at Knole Academy for those on rotation there this and future Sundays. Parking at Knole Academy will be limited as Chipstead FC are there on the 3G. Please only use the rugby pitch and area to the back of the 3G, not the grass football pitch / running track area.
Clubhouse will be open on Sunday for catering from the Kitchen and refreshments from the Bar, as will the Bat & Ball pop up shop. Please follow the signage as there will be a one way system through the Clubhouse. Toilets will be one in one out. All players should be using the players toilets downstairs. The cricket pavilion will be open and available for our Girls Rugby squad.
Watching / being pitch side is fine but must be socially distanced for parents and others at all times.
Team of the week - This week it is the Under 7s.
First Aid - each age group should have a first aid kit and at least one first aider. In addition, Chris Bright, U8s co-ordinates one first aider per session to be generally available during that time and whose mobile will be on the whiteboard. The Club also has a Physio in attendance every Sunday at the Paddock.
Car parking at the Club is very limited - we will not be using the overspill for cars this Sunday to help with clear social distancing of players arriving at the ground. Please encourage parents to walk or cycle to the Club or park in town and walk. If the Club gets gridlocked on Sunday guidance will change. Anyone who has parked at the Club for the morning session should leave asap post training or wait until after 11:00am to depart. Note to minis coaches - please end your session by 10:30am sharp.
Finally, thank you! Your outstanding work and that of all our Covid officers and volunteers has helped our return to rugby and will be recognised with a (socially distanced) social for all volunteers towards the end of this month.
