MORE ACTION THAN YOU CAN SHAKE A RUGBY BALL AT

Last weekend heralded the first weekend fixtures for the Mini and Youth section with friendlies for the U15 Boys away to Aylesford and the U12 Boys at home to Tunbridge Wells.

This weekend sees more and more action from across the mini and youth (see right) as well as the rest of the Club (see below)…

THE ACTION DOESN’T STOP THERE!

All of the Oaks action is being ably accompanied by the Rugby World Cup with all Saturday matches being shown live in the clubhouse.

THIS SUNDAY’S PITCH PLAN

FILL YOUR KIT BAG

Don’t forget that the Club Shop is open online using the link below and in the Clubhouse on Sunday mornings. The Clubhouse shop has additional items and the second hand rack - don’t miss out!

RUGBY WORLD CUP COMPETITION

With the Rugby World Cup starting this weekend, we’re launching a number of competitions for our minis and youth players to participate in. Don’t miss the opportunity to win some special prizes and make sure you read the weekly updates for the next competition.

SHIRT COLOURING COMPETITION

Congratulations to Salvador Suarez from our Under 6s, whose colourful entry wowed our judges, to win the shirt colouring competition. We particularly liked that he stayed true to the Club by complementing the traditional Blue and Gold with a myriad of other colours. The design has more flair than Marcus Smith! Salvador wins a rebound training ball to practice his passing and catching.

Stay tuned for more competitions!

DON’T FORGET TO REGISTER ON GMS AND PAY CLUB MEMBERSHIP ASAP

As is the case every year, we need you to complete two important actions as soon as possible at the start of the season.

ACTION 1 - REGISTRATION

Log in directly to GMS  here https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/ to ensure your child is insured to pay (for festivals, training and matches), help the RFU to direct support and funding, and help the Club meet its mandatory requirements.

ACTION 2 - MEMBERSHIP

You should have received a message and payment request via Spond in respect of this year’s membership subscription which is now due. Membership is a pre-requisite for club insurance for playing and coaching, so its vital that it is paid promptly.

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR CLUB

Don’t forget that there are plenty of other ways to support the Club:

RFU AGE GRADE RUGBY REGULATIONS

Age Grade Rugby is played to RFU Regulation 15 which is available on the RFU Regulations page here. It is important that everyone involved in the age grade game is familiar with and applies the regulations in full throughout the season and off season. The regulations for summer 2023 and the 2023-24 season are confirmed. The key updates to the regulations are covered in the Updates document; please click the link below which provides the latest version and share this across your networks:

SAFEGUARDING

All our volunteer coaches need to be DBS checked in order to coach at the Club and the club regularly monitors that its coaches are up to date. Coaches can proactively check their status on GMS.
