On this grey Super Sunday morning our U14 A’s played Medway A’s the paddock. The following magnificent boys represented our club:
This match was a repeat of the last two seasons Kent cup finals with our visitors hungry for revenge.
Lions dominated the early exchanges and enjoyed significant possession before getting their well deserved first try.
As the match unfolded Medway struggled to get the two key players in enough space to do any damage as the Lions defence choked any effort they made.
The second half was a similar pattern with a lions enjoying possession and territory, forcing any Medway attacks to come from very deep. We weren’t able to convert the possession to the tries it deserved after spending time on their try line. Some strong forward play finally broke the visitors resistance and two penalties saw the Lions comfortable winners in the end despite a late try from Medway.
