Sevenoaks Under 11s Golds and Blues squads enjoyed a clean sweep at the Sidcup A and Sidcup B Festival on Sunday 1 November 2015.
Both teams developed well throughout the day, putting together strong passages of expansive play with the ball in hand.
In the A Festival the lads started slowly and rusty handling almost proved costly as they edged past Old Elthamians 3-0 and drew 0-0 with the hosts. Following that the Golds got into their stride, completing four wins on the bounce without conceding a single try. The indicator of how well the boys came together was beating Old Elthamians 8-0 in the knock-out stages.
The Blues in the B Festival were more quickly into their stride, getting on the front foot with 3-0 and 11-0 victories. Further Group results went for them to set up a Final versus Beccehamians. It was a very tight game and despite conceding their only try of the day, Sevenoaks held on to draw the match 1-1 and seal the Cup on try count back.
