What way to honour a true rugby fan, to combine sport with education and to create a legacy that brings opportunity through rugby?

Lincoln Mali’s father passed away in 2010 and, in his memory, Lincoln conceived and initiated the Mzwandile Mali Rugby Festival with the aim of reviving schoolboy rugby in the townships of Port Elizabeth, South Africa. The principal aim being to establish a clear feeder route, from township schools, into the club and provincial rugby system and to ensure that Black African rugby heritage is not lost on current and future generations. A mighty ambition and by no means an easy task.

The Club would like to embed this initiative as a ‘One Club’ cause and although Louis Botes and Rupert Daniell (current u10s coaches) are spearheading the project; support from across the Club would be most welcome. Every Club member who has been on Tour has made new friends and shared formative experiences that endure long after the Tour ends. Let's dig deep and do what we can as 'One Club' to give these youngsters the experience of a lifetime. Work is underway on organising funding, hosting, transport and trips for the Tour in September 2020.
