Whitstable U14’s turned up at the paddock in the same strong form as Sevenoaks Tigers. Neither team have lost a match with both teams dispatching opponents within this Kent Cup group. Only one (bonus) point separated these teams with Sevenoaks on top.

The game started with a Sevenoaks kick-off and immediately the Tigers set upon the visitors with relentless pressure from the forwards. The visitors big pack and physicality was simply brushed aside by our boys turning over rucks and mauls at will. Sevenoaks scored a try after several minutes of intense pressure and a good defensive display from the visitors. This continued throughout the first half with extreme dominant pressure from the Tigers which yielded 3 tries and two conversions.

The second half saw a reinvigorated Whitstable looking to turn the result. After some initial pressure from the visitors including a try and conversion, Sevenoaks upped their game once more. Whitstable were overrun all across the pitch with Sevenoaks punishing them time-and-time again running in a further 4 tries and one conversion.

Our forwards had an immense game against a tough, large and well drilled opposition pack who made our boys work very hard for the ball. Our backs also played a brilliant game, with great movement off the ball, impressive ball handling and lightning line speed.

This was an excellent performance from the Tigers winning 39-7 against a very good Whitstable team. Well done boys.
