ALL WE HEAR IS…RADIO GAGA

After a scorcher of a weekend last week - when the ice cream van stock was under pressure - we’re really back into the swing of things as the fixtures starting to increase. The Under 12 Boys have their first proper fixture, after wanting to break free of festivals for the last few years, against our A21 friends and rivals, Tunbridge Wells and the Under 15 Boys travel away to Aylesford.

DON’T STOP US NOW

Unfortunately, midweek training was impacted by a staffing issue with the management company responsible for the 3G pitch, but the show must go on, so the Under 12 Boys watched some World Cup highlights in the Clubhouse together and along with some of the U14 Girls welcomed BBC Radio Kent’s Faye Hackwell to the Paddock.

It was heaven for everyone in the under 12s to show Faye around the Clubhouse, and talk about how Ben Earl - and his outstanding performances for England - are inspiring young players to play the game. If you missed the coverage on Friday morning - it was over in a flash - check it out here.

DON’T STOP US NOW… THE RUGBY WORLD CUP CONTINUES

After a spectacular first week of action, don’t miss this weekend’s matches and take the opportunity to watch this Saturday’s matches at the Club. Watch it Live on big screens with refreshments and great company. If you want to understand the new high tackle laws - which seem like a kind of magic - there’s no better place to be utterly bewildered than at the Paddock!

DON’T FORGET TO REGISTER ON GMS AND PAY CLUB MEMBERSHIP ASAP

As is the case every year, we need you to complete two important actions as soon as possible at the start of the season.

ACTION 1 - REGISTRATION

Log in directly to GMS  here https://gms.rfu.com/GMS/ to ensure your child is insured to pay (for festivals, training and matches), help the RFU to direct support and funding, and help the Club meet its mandatory requirements.

ACTION 2 - MEMBERSHIP

You should have received a message and payment request via Spond in respect of this year’s membership subscription which is now due. Membership is a pre-requisite for club insurance for playing and coaching, so its vital that it is paid promptly.

NEW TACKLE HEIGHT REGULATIONS

Many of you will have seen lots of press concerning the new rules on the Tackle Height in rugby - all of our coaches will have familiarised themselves with the rules themselves as well as the supporting information from the RFU on how to coach the new rules.

We’d also invite parents and players who to have a look at the information provided here.

HELP US TO GET MORE CHILDREN ACTIVE & PLAYING RUGBY - LIKE & SHARE

Our purpose is to get children playing rugby, so we’re always open to new players of any age and ability. We’d appreciate it if you could help us to get more children playing rugby:

i. Follow the Club on Facebook and Instagram and like and share Club posts - starting with the video here.

ii. Invite any friends and family members who are interested in playing sport/getting fit/trying something new to come and try out rugby - Reception to Infinity!

OTHER WAYS TO SUPPORT YOUR CLUB
