This Sunday we took a development squad down to Vigo for some training and matches. It was a glorious day of sunshine which allowed some of our newer recruits to get some valuable match time. The following boys were a credit to our squad and club:

The boys followed the challenging training regime with our hosts and then we split into teams. Unfortunately Vigo didn't have enough players to field a full team of 12 so we had to lend them two of ours which we rotate during the game.
We played four entertaining 10min quarters where we made a good account of ourselves. Vigo scored 3 tries in the first quarter and then they didn't score again until the 3rd and fourth quarters, where we upped our intensity and began to play as a team.
Our game play in the third and fourth quarters were at times really good. Some good runs, distribution and tackling. We won all but one scrum and nearly every ruck.
We played very well but our over politeness at the breakdowns and in tackles saw us go down 7-3 in a match that could easily have been 7-3 to us!
