Club Chairman Trevor Nicholson thanked all the Club's volunteers
Last Friday saw the annual Sevenoaks RFC Chairman’s Thirsty Thank You hosted at the Paddock to thank and honour volunteers within the Club who give up their time to contribute to our great Club.
Hosted by Club Chairman Trevor Nicholson, the evening allowed over forty members enjoy Diane’s culinary delights, accompanied by a complimentary drop or two from behind the bar. The attendees also listened to Head Coach Adam Bowman, who shared an update on the current status of the Senior Squad and also his vision on how a consistent playing framework is implemented throughout the Club.
Trevor commented ‘Tonight gives myself and the Committee the opportunity to thank all those who tirelessly work and give up their time for Sevenoaks RFC. We are so fortunate that we are able to call on so many willing volunteers who contribute to the Mighty Oaks in so many ways – whether that be coaching the mini and juniors, organising tours, setting up the 1st XV pitch on a Saturday morning, we are truly grateful to each and every person who gives their time so willingly.’
Head Coach Adam Bowman was also keen to express the thanks on behalf of all the players saying 'Playing rugby is the easy bit! The work that goes in off the field and behind the scenes to provide a competitive and enjoyable environment is what makes this Club so special to be a part of. From the U5s players to the Senior Squad, we want to say thank you!'
